The podcast that meets the people behind our products.

Produktmenschen are a unique breed. They come from all walks of life – sociology, computer science, carpentry, media studies, business administration, marketing. But most importantly, they come from life itself. With their distinctive experiences, choices, values, and motivations, they shape the products that define our daily lives – whether digital or physical, on our smartphones, in our kitchens, during our workouts, or at the office.

This podcast explores: Who are the people behind products? What motivates them? What shaped their journey? How did they end up in product management – and where are they going next? What values do they hold, and how do they impact the world around them?

In each episode, I sit down with product managers, product designers, leaders of product organizations, and thought leaders in product. From newcomers to seasoned professionals, I want to discover their stories and perspectives – and learn from their experiences.

Season 1 of Produktmenschen was recorded in German. Starting with Season 2, all new episodes are in English to make these conversations accessible to a global audience.

I don't know exactly where this journey will take us – but I'm confident it will be fascinating.

I'd love for you to join me along the way.

I’m Tobias, host of the Produktmenschen podcast.

For more than 25 years I’ve been working in the digital space. I started out as a web designer, moved into concept development and project management, and was always drawn to the intersection of creativity and technology. Looking back, it feels only natural that I eventually found my professional home in product management.

I spent several years as a product manager and later moved into leadership roles. Today, I work as the Co-Founder of Hey Clarity and as an Independent Product Leadership Coach and Consultant. I help product people and their organizations grow – by sharing my experience, challenging their thinking, and supporting them on their journey towards building strong product organizations.
